I have taken gut supplements, eaten real nourishing foods, avoided excess toxins, and been mindful of the way I treat my body for a decade now. (A lot of y’all have been on that journey with me!)
For that reason, when I saw everyone talking about the 5 Day Reset, I didn’t plan on doing it. I felt I had my bases covered already. I was even taking several of the supplements included in the reset, so my plan was to just keep on keepin’ on.
Finally, all the before & afters wore me down. People were losing 5-13 lb of pure bloat and inflammation in just 5 days. And most notably, they had mental clarity, energy, better skin, and they were kicking sugar. I decided to give it a whirl! If for nothing else, just to get my gut functioning at its best before we go into fall.

But the short version of the story is that I lost 7 pounds of bloating & inflammation in 5 days, eating more than I typically eat in my day-to-day routine. I started a brand new habit of drinking a full gallon of water a day (this has forever been my achilles heel when it comes to health!). I completely broke through my brain fog. I had crazy amounts of energy without coffee. I lost my under eye circles. My stomach was flat as a board and I wore shorts I had not worn since before I had Oaks (he’s 6).
As I live-journaled my experience, I had several hundred of y’all wanting to jump in with me, so I committed to hosting another round a few weeks later where everyone could join me instead of doing it alone. That round was even easier because I had just kept up the habits from the first round, which is really the whole point. I lost another 1.5 pounds of bloat & inflammation during that round, and continued feeling amazing. And I’ve kept feeling amazing!
The reset is not a quick fix, it’s a quick START, and the goal is to continue the healthy habits from there. Or, if you’re like me and already had pretty healthy habits, it’s a nice little jumpstart to help break through a plateau and just get you excited again.
