The Madison Collection is here!
Postpartum is the hardest time for me to feel comfortable in my own skin. Any time we have to go somewhere that requires more than yoga pants, I put on and take off a dozen things and feel so defeated and usually end up saying to Ty, “I don’t even want to go.”
Thankfully I have the perspective, having been there enough times, to know that it’s just a season. But in this season, cozy cute clothes are a must!
In my experience it is dang near impossible to find things that are:
-Stretchy to nurse in
-Will still be worn when I’m no longer pregnant/postpartum
Since I have such trouble finding things that check all those boxes, I leapt at the opportunity to curate a collection myself.
My friend Taylor of Hazel & Olive has always been such a kind light in my life. She supported me when I was a brand new photographer trying to make a name for myself 8-ish years ago and drove to Oklahoma to let me photograph her precious family. She’s a fellow adoptive mama. She’s a fellow female entrepreneur. And she’s such a cheerleader for others in whatever they’re doing. I just love connecting with her whenever I can. She reached out about collaborating to put together a line for moms, and I was in before she could spit out her sentence!
So, here it is.
It’s all things I want to wear (and finally can, since the cat is out of the bag!)
And I hope it blesses you, too!
First up… STRETCHY BRAS FROM THE HEAVENS:
I get questions often about the bras I always wear (I wore one during Oaks’ home birth and Acre’s home birth). I’ve never in my life worn a nursing bra — stretchy lace bralettes have had my back (well, my front) through all stages of “the ladies” changing. Thank you for your service, stretchy bras!
(Camo off-shoulder top is part of the collection, too!)
The formal version of black yoga pants.
Two options: hole-y, and not.
Ignore the white thing in my shoe (THE SHOES ARE ALSO PART OF THE COLLECTION!). It’s the carboard piece that comes in the box… I didn’t notice it till after these were taken! AAAAAAND, mom life, I don’t have time to re-take ’em, so we’re rollin’ with it. Thank you to everyone who gave me the benefit of the doubt that it is not a nerdy sock. Your faith in me means everything 🙂
For mom hair. Yes & amen.
& the FLATS:
Thank you so much, Taylor, for letting me put this collection together! You seriously did all the heavy lifting while I got to do the fun stuff, and I am so thankful for you!
And thanks so much to everyone shopping — I feel like we’re shopping together!
